We are glad to announce that with Week 5 of the LCS Spring Split 2015 our weekly LCS Newsfeed is back. After four weeks of intense League battles, teams have come to realize the weaknesses of each other hence this week, more and more professional players we’ve come to love over the years have stepped out of the spotlight and are benched for the time being. More on that in this week’s LCS Newsfeed.

Team Elements: Wickd out – Kev1n in.

One of the most controversial benching this week came from Elements’ own toplaner Wickd. Elements have struggled last week when they were up against teams like Gambit Gaming and H2k Gaming where they lost. It has been known that Elements are well, out of their element, during the start of the Spring Split when they were touted as playing passively. Elements/Alliance have been known to be very aggressive in both laning and teamfights which leaves the audience scratching their heads and asking what happened to the old Alliance? And with that, the organization has decided to replace Mike “Wickd” Petersen from the toplane and introduce Kevin “kev1n” Rubiszewski to the top. This will be the first member swap since the introduction of Rekkles to the team in the preseason. Hopefully, the team will brighten up with the addition of Kev1n.

MeetYourMaker’s Mimer Steps Down

In other news, MYM’s Mimer has also decided to step down from the toplane. This means that MYM will be acquiring the skills of Jesper “Jwaow” Strandgren to the toplane for the mean time. Mimer has his official statement below:

“I have decided to step down from the main roster of MYM due to simply not feeling confident in my play anymore and lack of motivation with all that has happened. For the remainder of the split I will be staying in the house assisting with the coaching and try to help as much as possible while I figure out if I wanna proceed with coaching, return as a player or retire.”

Mimer will not be parting ways with the organization however, he will be part of the team as an assistant coach.

Team Liquid: Piglet Benched

Another news that shocked the entire community this week was when Team Liquid decided to bence one of its significant acquisition from South Korea – Piglet. Piglet will be benched for the time being for Week 5 and KEITH will be moving in on the starting lineup. Following their initial victories in the first week of the LCS, KEITH was then replaced by Piglet but the team seemed to suffer greatly with losses left and right. Right now, the team is focused on getting back in shaped with the help of KEITH and see what happens. If this sticks, Piglet’s future in the LCS might be in danger or will another team try to snatch him from under their noses.

After their recent showing which had stagnant effects to their standings in the game, Coast has decided to replace Jesiz with a far more dominating midlaner in Mancloud. This marks the return of Mancloud in the LCS after his days in Team Vulcun and its succeeding team name.
